 The Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party will start in the early evening of July 29th. The location is the Hotel Taikanso, a famous hotel in Matsushima, one of the 3 most scenic areas of Japan. Summit participants, volunteers and others who are connected with the summit will all gather to celebrate the opening of the summit.
At the welcome patry, guests from overseas will be welcomed to Japan with Miyagi local delicacies,
Japanese rice liquor and a performance of "Suzume Odori", a traditional dance from Miyagi. |

 After the homestay program has finished, a closing ceremony and farewell party will be held to give everybody the opportunity to say goodbye to those who they have made so many memories with. It will be held in the Sendai Royal Park Hotel, in the suburbs of Sendai on August 2nd. Farewell speeches from the organizers will be given, and volunteers have arranged a program to ensure that the final evening of the summit will be one not to be forgotten! |
