Rolling hills and horse farms, historic Bourbon distilleries, steamboats, arts and crafts, delicious food, and warm people... Kentucky provides a perfect blend of American "heartland" experiences.
It has been a melting pot of cultures and groups for several hundred years. Kentucky combines the hospitality of the South, the relaxed atmosphere of the West, and the business of the East coast.
Kentucky has been the scene of many historical events, including Indian wars, Revolutionary War expeditions, start of Lewis and Clark expedition, Civil War battles and steamboat races, and is the location of many important sites, including Mammoth Cave, the US gold bullion at Fort Knox, bluegrass horse farms and majestic mountains.
The 2008 Japan-America Grassroots Summit will be held in Autumn, a season of beautiful Fall colors and the excitement of horse racing in Kentucky.
